This year, both the 7th- and 8th-grade Quiz Bowl teams each had eight members. The teams participated in six meets, including the Heart of America League Meet hosted by Berean Academy. Our school took on a new kind of service project this past spring, helping Steve Bowers’ new school in Tennessee collect books for its brand-new library opening this fall. Over the course of a month, grades K–12 gathered books of all kinds, stacking them in their homerooms. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of America’s Declaration of Independence, our music department showcased three patriotic performances. At the end of April, our K–4 students performed Ameri-Kids, reminding us that our founding fathers placed their trust in the God of the Bible. Our high school students also presented a fantastic patriotic program featuring a variety of American folk songs. The evening culminated with the band and choir performing America
