From Berean to Tennessee: Books on a Mission

Our school took on a new kind of service project this past spring, helping Steve Bowers’ new school in Tennessee collect books for its brand-new library opening this fall. Over the course of a month, grades K–12 gathered books of all kinds, stacking them in their homerooms.

With a pizza and ice cream party as an added incentive, our students and community came together to donate an incredible 3,500 books! The final phase of the book drive was determining how to transport the books to Shelbyville, Tennessee, which were delivered earlier this month by Secondary Principal Jason Wine and his wife, Kirstin
