“Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises of your name.” Psalm 18:49. The music students at Berean Academy have had a very active and successful fall and have many blessings to sing about! The Berean Honor Choir traveled to Sterling early in October to participate in the Heart of America League Honor Choir. Led by Brandon Wade, choral director at Pratt High School, this 100-voice choir performed four selections as a mass choir. Each school choir was also invited to perform a selection of their own. Twenty band students participated in a similar event in Marion on November 8. Led by Shawn Knopp, professor of bands from Friends University, the 98 instrumentalists performed a wonderful concert in the afternoon for family and friends.
Several students also auditioned for SCKMEA Honor groups. The following students were accepted and will perform in concerts on December 2.
