This year, both the 7th- and 8th-grade Quiz Bowl teams each had eight members. The teams participated in six meets, including the Heart of America League Meet hosted by Berean Academy. Over the course of the season, they faced more than 860 questions and answered approximately 43% correctly. Both teams placed at least twice and were close to placing in all meets. Our school took on a new kind of service project this past spring, helping Steve Bowers’ new school in Tennessee collect books for its brand-new library opening this fall. Over the course of a month, grades K–12 gathered books of all kinds, stacking them in their homerooms.
