Berean Academy is seeking a route driver for our Newton route for the upcoming school year. Applicants must possess a valid Kansas CDL in order to be considered. In addition, the applicant should have a vibrant Christian faith. This position is an hourly, part time position without benefits. Additional duties could be added with the right candidate.

Secondary Activities Director/Teacher/Bus Driver
The activities director must strengthen the integration of spiritual truth and life into the school’s athletic and activities program by: writing and communicating a Christian philosophy of athletics and activities; providing inspirational leadership in establishing and realizing specific spiritual goals; establishing a devotional and prayer life within the coaching staff; facilitating the establishment of spiritual goals and objectives for coaches and players; training coaches, players, and fans to see the athletic and activities program as a means to a spiritual end and not an end in itself; and communicate and exhort adherence to spiritual priorities. The focus of the activities director needs to be on the development of Christ-like character.
The activities director shall demonstrate a commitment to Jesus Christ in his professional and personal life. He shall have a commitment to Berean Academy as a God-given ministry with motivation to honor Him. He must demonstrate leadership in building Christ-like relationships in athletics and activities. He must demonstrate organizational skills, be personable, professional, and willing to assist teachers, parents, and students.
The activities director must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized college or university and pursue certification by the Association of Christian Schools International.
Special Education Teacher/Coordinator
The Special Education Teacher/Coordinator will provide academic support to students with documented learning challenges as identified through educational testing, response to intervention protocols, and/or those who have established individual education plans. The Special Education Teacher/Coordinator will work with elementary and secondary faculty, parents, and students in order to provide the best educational atmosphere for student learning.
The candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree with an endorsement in special education. The ideal candidate will have Master degree in Special Education with at least three years of experience.
