History

Berean Academy is a non-denominational Christian school that opened in 1946. In 1948 Berean held its first commencement. The school is located on a 40-acre campus and serves almost 300 students enrolled in grades Pre-K through 12th.

Accreditation and Memberships

Berean Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Berean has been a member of ACSI since 1978 and has been accredited through ACSI since 1985. Berean’s current accreditation was granted in 2014 and runs through 2019.

Berean is a full member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), an organization that governs the activities of its member schools. Berean is in the 2A classification and offers many activities including eight varsity sports in the competitive Heart of America League. The fine arts program at Berean is outstanding and offers art, vocal music and band at the elementary, junior high and high school levels.
